Beach Cleaning and BBQビーチクリーンとバーベキュー
We had our first event on Awaji Island, which was a beach clean-up and BBQ. We joined forces to clean our local beach. We collected 40 kilos of trash. While we were cleaning the beach, we also gathered a few things that could be used for art. The shy kids were able to open up as we were cleaning the beach. Some of them even said a few words in English. After we finished cleaning up the beach, we did some art, and then we had a BBQ. We got a donation of fresh Awaji onions for the event. The weather was perfect for the event. This event would not have been possible without you. Thanks to everyone who joined! We also give a huge thanks to Awaji City for the trash bags and other support. Also, a big thank you to Mr. Okada for donating the Awaji onions from his farm. And last, but not least, a huge thank you to all the volunteers who came and helped during this event!
淡路島で初めてのイベントを開催しました。 ビーチクリーンとバーベキューです。私たちは力を合わせて地元のビーチを清掃し、40キロものゴミを回収しました。ビーチを清掃している間、アートに使える素材もいくつか集めました。恥ずかしがり屋の子供たちも、ビーチを掃除するうちに打ち解けてくれました。中には英語で少し話しかけてくれる子もいました。ビーチ清掃後はアート制作を行い、その後バーベキューを楽しみました。イベント用に新鮮な淡路玉ねぎを寄付いただきました。 天候にも恵まれ、素晴らしいイベントとなりました。皆様のご協力がなければ実現できなかった事です。ご参加いただいた皆様、誠にありがとうございました。ご協力いただいた淡路市、役所の方々にはゴミ袋の提供をはじめ多大な支援を賜り、心より感謝申し上げます。また、ご自身の農場で栽培された淡路玉ねぎを寄付してくださった岡田様にも深く御礼申し上げます。最後に、このイベントで駆けつけて手伝ってくれたすべてのボランティアの皆様に、心から感謝申し上げます！
